Catch Up

Baby girl is 11 months old and her first birthday is approaching fast! I cannot believe this little person scooting about and climbing all over the furniture and up the stairs wasn't even here this time last year.

I am still agonizing over having to go back to work and have pretty much decided to go but give my notice...I just can't bear to leave my Claire.

Plans for the business are going so well. We open up in less than two weeks and already have clients signed up. If this goes well then I won't have to worry about having my other job at all and can just focus on the business.

It has been such a neat experience going through all of this with J. We are partners in the business and although we are both very strong in our opinions, we have compromised and balanced this busy time very well. There are a lot of dark circles under the eyes and a bit of short temperedness but other than that we're good. Even Claire is sleeping poorly which is adding to the tiredness for all.

It seems like the battles for a good night sleep never will end. She will do well for a spell and then will get a cold or a tooth or both and then her schedule changes...And she is not interested in weaning one little bit. Sigh. I just want to sleep through the night, is that too much to ask? :)

But she is still such a lovely little girl. So smiley and social and quick to laugh. She has a temper however and has been expressing herself through little "tantrums" of late which are amusing and frustrating at the same time. I know she is just trying to assert her wishes in the only way she knows how but I will be glad when she has the words to tell me.

Speaking of the little squirt, I hear her waking from her nap. Hope everyone is well and enjoying the first day of fall!
