Finding Out

I finally have myself my very own doctor. And I had my first visit with him today.

It turns out he has the same birthday as me and J! How's that for fate? :)

I told him what has been happening with me since last May...How I have been having trouble with being stuffy and feeling like my ears are plugged in the morning and feeling the draining in the back of my throat. I told him about the sinus infection in July and the throat infection early January.

I told him I have been exhausted and have lost two clothing sizes since the summer, even though my eating habits and my appetite have not changed.

I told him I have tried allergy pills, as one doctor suggested but stopped taking them since they had no effect.

He looked in my ears, in my throat, up my nose. He told me I could have sinutitis (sp?) and that I may always just feel this way. He told me he wanted me to try a nasal spray for three weeks and then come back to see him.

Then he filled out a form and sent me to the blood lab where they took two vials of blood and are going to run tests.

I'm glad he is being thorough and that I actually felt comfortable there. I'm glad that I didn't faint for once when they drew the blood.

I'm glad my J came with me and I don't have to feel silly telling him how scared I am.
